We are looking to recruit an experienced individual with fantastic practical and teamwork skills to join our established team. Reporting to our Area Repairs Manager, our Labourers provide general labouring works for the Group to a high and consistent standard. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities. 

What do our Labourer’s do;  

  • Carry out general labouring, maintenance and minor repair works across domestic and commercial properties to a high standard. 

  • Prepare, clean and maintain work sites, including waste removal, site clearance, and ensuring properties are left clean and safe. 

  • Operate tools, machinery and equipment safely, following risk assessments, health and safety procedures, and PPE requirements. 

  • Support efficient delivery of works by loading materials, assisting with planning, and accurately recording daily activities. 

  • Provide excellent customer service, liaising with tenants, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring customer satisfaction on completion of work. 

What we are looking for;  

  • A relevant trade qualification (City & Guilds or minimum NVQ Level 2) or substantial hands-on experience 

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North West 

  • Proven experience working within a team in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and to agreed standards 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and use initiative 

  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to manage a varied workload and perform effectively under pressure 

  • A professional, reliable and flexible attitude, with a commitment to MSV’s values and customer service standards. 

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. You’ll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
