Repairs Coordinator

We are looking to recruit an experienced repairs or housing professional, or an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills, to join our established team.

Reporting to the Repairs Manager, our Repairs Coordinators manage the day‑to‑day coordination of responsive repairs, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, contractors are effectively managed, and customers are kept informed throughout the process. In addition, we are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for advocating on behalf of people and communities.

What do our Repairs Coordinator’s do;

  • Coordinate and schedule repairs appointments effectively, managing operatives’ diaries to maximise efficiency, minimise travel, achieve high first‑time fix rates and ensure appointments are kept.

  • Support the smooth delivery of responsive, emergency and void repairs, working closely with customers, operatives, contractors and internal teams to deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service.

  • Maintain accurate, real‑time repairs records and systems, managing performance against KPIs, monitoring follow‑on works, and escalating issues to ensure targets are met.

  • Manage administrative and financial processes related to repairs, including materials ordering, purchase orders, invoice checking, coding, variations and compliance with financial and statutory requirements.

  • Provide operational cover, resolve customer complaints, support service improvements, and contribute flexibly to achieving excellent customer satisfaction and overall service performance.

What we are looking for;  

  • A good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with strong core administrative skills.

  • Proven ability to organise, plan and manage workloads effectively in a busy, fast‑paced environment, working to deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Experience of handling customer enquiries by telephone, resolving issues at the first point of contact, ideally within a repairs or service delivery setting.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to work confidently with scheduling, repairs or data management systems.

  • Good knowledge of repairs and maintenance services, including an understanding of property repair types, priorities and health and safety requirements.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to respond empathetically and professionally to a diverse customer base.

  • A collaborative approach to working within a team, alongside the ability to use initiative and solve problems independently.

  • A positive, resilient and customer‑focused attitude, with a commitment to MSV’s values, confidentiality, equality and continuous improvement.
