Role Overview

As a key member of our team, you will contribute directly to the smooth operation and success of our organisation. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data collection.
• Contribute to the auditing process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.
• Help manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Respond to queries from external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an accountancy or finance role, preferably within the housing or not-for-profit sectors.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g. AAT or working towards) would be advantageous.
